Good second pro
Whats a good second profession for a monk that wants to be a farmer?

warrior or elementalist is good. Warrior is probably the better of the two. Ele/Mo is a better way to go than Mo/Ele but if you've already made a monk, or like the way the monk looks better, Elementalist makes a decent second profession for a farming monk.

I wouldn't say Warrior to be honest. I would go for Elementalist or, perhaps strangely, Necromancer, with preference for the Elementalist. Mo/E and Mo/N can be extremely potent builds in my experience, for any tasks, not just farming.

I say warrior for balanced stance alone. I can solo many areas with a Mo/W using the standard smite build with leftover points in tactics. Can solo guys that normally would pop you on the ground (hydras).

Warrior for farming. It'll let you make a really good smiter plus you get access to sprint and things like balanced stance. Since you aren't gonna start farming till you get to level 20 anyway you can always just change your secondary in the desert and try out different classes till you find what you like.
